U.S. Grains Council opening

The U.S. Grains Council opened a regional office in Panama to cover its activities in Latin America and the Caribbean and for said occasion, together with our Ambassador, offered a Reception for collaborators and contacts from the Government and private sectors.

The U.S. Grains Council represents producers and traders of barley, corn and sorghum that export to the rest of the world and together with the U. S. Department of Agriculture contributes to world economic development and agricultural profitability.

Grains exports represent 17% of the total cargo that transits the Panama Canal, and 90% of that percentage corresponds to U. S. Grains.
