The USCGD Mohawk thanks the First Baptist Church with a Community Relations Project

Twenty five volunteers from the USCGC Mohawk spent the day at the First Baptist Church in Ancon.  During only a few hours, they were able to paint, clean and clear heavy furniture from a designated room that can now be used as a daycare center.  In 2008, nearby Casita de Mausi was undergoing construction, and the First Baptist Church volunteered space which they had available to house Casita de Mausi's program which provides temporary housing and support services for patients undergoing chemotherapy.  Today's work project highlighted the sentiment of thanks and appreciation to the First Baptist Church for their aid to Casita de Mausi and to the surrounding community.
