Major Douglas Fortier headed up substantial group of over 30 ROTC cadets who engaged in various social projects during their 20 day visit to Panama. While in Panama City, the volunteers spent one day painting and constructing equipment and furniture at Hospital Integrado San Miguel Arcangel, a public hospital in San Miguelito. A second day was spent at the Summit Zoo, where they helped in many different areas, including classifying and labeling trees and clearing paths. Additional work projects took place in small communities in Chiriqui and Cocle.
