Members of the USS Gary Volunteer at a School in Chilibre

Fifteen members from the USS Gary spend the day volunteering with the Escuela Villa Unida in Chilibre.  The group was welcomed by over 30 teachers, parents and students who worked alongside them to paint classrooms, strengthen concrete support posts, and move heavy items to clear out additional space for students.  The entire group enjoyed a wonderful lunch prepared by the parents, and the USS Gary plans to return in August for another day of community relations projects.
