US Navy, USS McClusky Returns to Arraijan

On Saturday, October 22, 2005 USS McClusky officials returned to Arraijan for the second visit in two months. During their previous visit the sailors worked to refurbish Escuela Nuevo Jerusalen. This time they visited Escuela Primaria Monte Claro which serves eighteen students in grades Pk-6th with one teacher in the same classroom at the same time. The officials from the US McCLUSKY surprised the community with a cash donation of $500.00 and a series of illustrated books for the children.

The community quickly agreed that the main necessity is the work on the roof of the school. They committed to work together and to use the donation wisely. They expressed deep appreciation for the generous donation while sending blessings to all US Navy sailors from USS McClusky.
