USS Underwood Lends a Hand to Escuela de los Estados Unidos

14 members of the USS Underwood participated in a comrel with Escuela de los Estados Unidos on Saturday, March 14th.  Paint and materials were donated by the American Society, along with a pizza lunch for all participants.  The comrel work was incredibly timely as staff are preparing for the beginning of the school year.  During one day of work, two classrooms were scraped and painted, scraping and painting of the school’s exterior wall was done, several desks were fixed, and wall partitions which allow for different types of classroom activities were fixed as well.  Members of the parent-teacher association and the school director and staff also came by to voice their thanks for a job well done!
