USS De Wert COMREL in the Severino Hernandez Troya School

Sailors with students from Severino Hernandez Troya School

On August 27, members of the USS De Wert and the People to People Coordinator visited the Severino Hernandez Troya school to participate in a COMREL work project.  They brought donations from Project Handclasp.  Many of these items promote hygiene, although the students were clearly most excited about several pairs of rollerblades and skateboards.  They also brought painting supplies, and picked up on a previous COMREL's efforts to paint exterior walls of the school.  The director informed us that parents of students will be continuing this project over the next few days.
