COMREL at the Escuela Primaria Santa Librada in San Miguelito by USS Underwood

USS Underwood was joined by representatives from the Panamanian Maritime Service to  complete a comrel in San Migeulito at the  Escuela Primeria Santa Librada.  Both groups worked together to complete significant work projects which included cleaning and painting the exterior of a kindergarten classroom, cleaning, painting, and redefining the outside basketball court, and trimming a large field connected to the children’s play area.  Due to the expertise of the participants, they were also able to work on electrical problems as well.  The USS Underwood also donated toys from Project Handclasp which the students will be able to enjoy.  The staff and parents of the school children participated in the work project as well, and provided a wonderful Panamanian lunch for all of the folks involved.
