COMREL at Casita de Mausi by members of the USS Rodney M. Davis

Members of the USS Rodney M. Davis clean and paint the area

30 sailors from the USS Rodney M. Davis participated in a COMREL on Friday, November 28^th at Casita de Mausi.  This community relations project focused on cleaning, prepping and painting the newly reconstructed walls of Casita de Mausi, a non-profit organization that provides lodging for patients currently receiving cancer treatment at the Hospital Oncologico.  The new construction will allow for double the capacity of patient lodging.  Completion of the painting that was done today brings Casita de Mausi much closer to their December goal of moving their patients back into this reconstructed space.  In addition, the US Rodney-Davis presented Casita de Mausi with a table and chair set, and a plaque commemorating their work there today.  The Navy League stopped by to provide support and pizza to the COMREL participants.
