Ambassador Watt visits School with American Society of Panama

In support of the American Society’s Annual Christmas party for the students, Ambassador Linda E. Watt visited the Escuela de los Estados Unidos in Casco Viejo.

Each of the 490 students at the school received a gift from the American Society, a non-profit organization that raises funds in support of the school through various functions throughout the year. According to president Thomas Lord, Jr., the American Society was able to install an air conditioner and donate funds to the parent-teacher committee in 2003. Last year the American Society set up a computer lab where students and teachers are learning computer skills.

Ambassador Watt is the Honorary President of the American Society of Panama.
