Speeches 2003

March 14, 2003

DCM McMullen at the Inauguration of the U.S. Pavilion, EXPOCOMER 2003

The United States is delighted to participate in EXPOCOMER 2003. I congratulate the Panamanian Chamber of Commerce for making EXPOCOMER such an enduring success over the 23 years of its existence.

The forty U.S companies exhibiting this year represent the tremendous diversity of goods and services that the United States has to offer to Panama, to Central America, and to the world. These range from agricultural equipment to tourism programs, from telecommunications services to automotive equipment, and much, much more.

I urge you to examine and consider what these companies can do for you. It may be just what you need to make your business a success.

I can think of no country better suited to host EXPOCOMER than Panama. This beautiful country is a central meeting point and the crossroads of trade for the Americas.

In closing, let me wish all exhibitors -- but especially our U.S exhibitors -- good luck and good business. Thank you.
