Who Needs a Visa?

Certain international travelers may be eligible to travel to the U.S. without a visa if they meet the requirements for visa-free travel.  Note that Visa Waiver Program travelers are required to apply for travel authorization through the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) before traveling to the U.S.   Additionally, travelers born in the U.S. and others who hold dual nationality with the U.S. must enter and depart the U.S. on U.S. passports, per U.S. law.
